High School Bulletin

Thursday, April 19th the Art Club will hold a Fund Raiser in benefit of helping to purchase track equipment.
We will be selling paint balloons to be thrown at the concession's wall, inside the new building facility.  The price: one balloon is $2.00 and three balloons will sell for $5.00.
We encourage everyone to take part.  Time will be made available for students who can't stay for the softball game verses Northwest.  The students that ride the bus or have an alternative to get home will be given an opportunity to take part in the project (more later).
Balloon's will go on sale Monday March 19th.  You may pay in the High School Principle's Office before April 18th.  It is planned balloons may or MAY NOT be sold on April 19th, the night of the "painting bannanza."  However, it is preferred all balloons be pre-paid; there is no guarantee more balloons will be needed.  Also, the night of the "artistry" you may pay $1.00 for a one -time squirt of paint with a Syringe. Currently, there is no limit to the number of balloons one may purchase and donations are always welcome.

Spanish Club in partnership with FBLA will be collecting new or slightly used shoes! You can help people in need around the world by bringing some new or slightly used shoes! The Smithton Spanish Club and FBLA are collecting shoes from February 14th– April 10th! Bring them to the Spanish Classroom or Business classroom or place them in the boxes around the school. The shoes will be sent to developing countries like Haiti and will also benefit the Strong Tower Orphanage in Haiti! Please help us help others around the world!


EMPLOYM EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:  Smithton school district will be interviewing students for possible summer employment.  If you are interested please come to the HS office and submit your name for consideration.

The PTO says a BIG Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Carnival a success.  From those who donated items, baked goodies, and worked games to those who supported the silent auction, bid on baskets, and enjoyed the games-we appreciate every one of you!
